No bank wants to tell you that you are not eligible – even if they believe that is the case. Normally they will ask for your documentation- bank statements, credit files etc, so they can make a final decision. Once they have all of this and you have paid for a valuation, they will give you their verdict. If they turn you down at this point, you have wasted time, money and possibly lost the property you wanted to purchase. It is normally at this point estate agents call us in to help.
